He is currently Africa & Middle East Director at Vyntra, a fintech company specialising in AI-driven solutions that help banks monitor transactions, combat financial crime, and protect customers from fraud.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has been closely involved in the adoption of new technologies within the banking sector. He works with financial institutions to explore how artificial intelligence and advanced analytics can strengthen banking intelligence, improve operational resilience, and enhance the prevention of fraud and cybercrime.

Jonathan is a regular advisor to banks and industry stakeholders on the practical application of AI in financial services and the evolving landscape of financial crime prevention.

I am a seasoned banking executive with over 18 years of experience spanning
governance, regulatory compliance, financial crime risk management, and business
leadership. I have held executive compliance roles—including Regional Head of
Financial Crime Compliance and Regional Head of Compliance and have
consistently operated as a strategic business leader, actively shaping and executing
business strategies and driving performance management.

My professional drive is to support banks and financial institutions in maximizing
value extraction from their licenses safely, through close partnership between
business and control functions. Beyond my executive roles, I serve on various
boards where I contribute to setting organizational strategy and direction, reinforcing
my ability to influence at the highest levels.

I am passionate about building sustainable businesses through robust risk and
compliance frameworks, while fostering strong networks with regulators, professional
bodies, industry forums, and law enforcement. Recognized as a thought leader in
compliance across Kenya and the Africa region, I have successfully led initiatives
that balance regulatory expectations with business growth, positioning me as a
trusted partner in both governance and enterprise leadership.

Maureen Osindi is a Certified Chief Compliance Officer and IAPP Certified Information
Privacy Manager (CIPM) with over 10 years of experience in compliance, financial crime
prevention, and regulatory governance across banking and fintech. She brings deep
expertise in cross-border remittances and card operations, supporting issuing, transaction
monitoring, and regulatory oversight across multiple jurisdictions, including Kenya, Tanzania,
DRC, Ghana, Nigeria, and the United States.

Her work focuses on enabling compliant, secure, and efficient cross-border fund flows while
aligning operational frameworks with evolving regulatory expectations. Maureen specializes
in AML/CFT, data protection, and conduct risk, and is increasingly focused on strengthening
customer protection and sustainability in digital financial services through data-driven
insights.

Sakwa Emmanuel is the founder and CEO of Orbit Capital Limited, a digital credit and
microfinance platform transforming access to finance in Kenya. With over 10 years of
experience spanning commercial banking, microfinance, sales, FMCG, digital credit, and
investment advisory, he brings deep expertise in building customer‐centric fintech solutions.
A three‐time startup founder, Sakwa leads Orbit Capital’s mission to simplify, digitize, and
democratize credit through fast, transparent, and responsible lending powered by
technology—making him a compelling voice on innovation, financial inclusion, and the future
of fintech in Africa.

With over ten years of experience in the banking sector, Titus is a governance and
compliance expert who holds professional certifications in regulatory development, financial
accounting, information management, data protection, securities, and investment. As the
Head CFCR Governance Kenya & East Africa and the Data Protection Officer at Standard
Chartered Bank Kenya, he leads and manage a team of experts who work effectively and
proactively with business teams and support functions to identify, assess, and mitigate
financial crime and conduct risks to ensure compliance with local and global regulations and
standards.

His core competencies include regulatory management, change management, financial
crime risk management, portfolio management, obligations register management, data
governance, development of privacy controls, capacity building, and stakeholder
engagement.

He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice from the University of Cape
Town, with a focus on regulatory development, and a Compliance Career Academy
certificate from the Cambridge Judge Business School. His mission is to leverage his skills
and credentials to foster a culture of ethical business conduct, governance and compliance
to protect and enhance the reputation and performance of Standard Chartered Bank in
Kenya and East Africa.

Winnie is a Data Protection Officer responsible for overseeing enterprise privacy
governance across operations in the EU, UK, East Africa, West Africa, and the Asia-
Pacific region. In this role, she leads the implementation of global privacy programs
and advises senior leadership on compliance with the GDPR and regional data
protection frameworks, cross-border data transfers, and privacy risk management in
complex multi-jurisdictional environments.

She is recognised as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the International Association of
Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and holds the CIPP/E and CIPM certifications, reflecting advanced
expertise in privacy governance and programme management. A lawyer by training, Winnie
has advised organisations across banking, insurance, healthcare, charity and technology
sectors on building accountable data governance frameworks and embedding privacy-by-
design into global operations.

Anne Mureithi is a senior Compliance professional and currently serves as Regional Director, Compliance – Central, Eastern and Southern Africa (CESA) at Ecobank . She has experience spanning over 15 years and provides strategic oversight of AML/CFT/CPF, regulatory compliance, sanctions compliance and governance across a complex, multi‑jurisdictional banking environment. Anne is a thought leader and influencer on matters compliance for the industry and intra-bank forums and shares best practices in the management of compliance, conduct and financial crime risks.

Sherif is a Chief Risk Officer in one of the commercial banks with around 20 years banking experience in Corporate Credit Banking, Credit Control, Banking Risk Management and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Moreover, he is an international certified Trainer since 2011 provides banking certificates, financial risks and credit programs.

Sherif is one of the CIB’s main instructors in Credit programs since 2011, instructor in the American University in Egypt (AUC)- School of Business since 2015, One of the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) instructors and instructor in ESLSCA Business School since 2017.

Vinod Sharma is a Kenya-based FinTech CTO and innovator with 26 years in technology – 16 of them in financial services. A design thinker and visual communicator, he brings a blue ocean perspective to unexplored opportunities across blockchain, AI/ML, IoT, cloud, and emerging tech like CBDC and neuromorphic computing.

Grounded in first principles and systems thinking, Vinod bridges technical depth with business outcomes – delivering scalable, secure financial solutions across legacy, modern, and intelligent tech stacks. Beyond fintech, he is an active learner of theoretical physics and a passionate landscape and architectural photographer.

Paul Brian is a cybersecurity professional, author, and podcaster focused on
strengthening security across modern digital ecosystems. His experience spans security architecture, risk management, and enterprise systems within cloud and on-prem environments. He is also a cybersecurity tutor, actively supporting learning and professional development in the field. Paul brings a practical and forward-looking perspective on managing cyber risk in an increasingly connected world.

Alice Nafuna Khaoya is the Head of Fraud Risk Management at Stanbic Bank Kenya and a definitive voice in ethical leadership. In 2025, she made history as the first woman named Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) of the Year for Africa by the ACFE & a recognition by the Standard Bank Group Mark of Excellence award.

Known as a “Teacher to the Industry,” Alice shapes the national regulatory landscape by training key regulators in evolving fraud threats. As a Cross-Sector Bridge, she holds pivotal leadership roles within the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA), including Vice Chair of both the Fraud & Security and Card Operations committees.

Her commitment to regional growth is evidenced by her work volunteering to engage leadership teams at Dashen Bank of Ethiopia, where she fostered the “radical openness” necessary to strengthen the East African financial ecosystem. Alice builds the trust essential for the future of digital finance through three pillars: intelligence-led AI integration, radical cross-border

Arthur W. Omuse is a seasoned senior investigator and security expert with deep expertise in anti-corruption, economic crimes, and financial fraud. He currently serves as a Regional Intelligence Officer at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in Kenya, where he has led high-profile investigations into bribery, economic crimes, and financial misconduct—contributing significantly to successful prosecutions and asset recovery efforts.

With a career spanning multiple regions including Central, Eastern Kenya, and South Nyanza, Arthur has played a pivotal role in disrupting corruption networks, launching strategic investigations, and leading capacity-building initiatives focused on ethics, compliance, and security. He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Crypto Investigation (CI), Crypto Compliance Specialist (CCS) – TRM Labs, and qualifications in asset recovery, money laundering prevention (CAMP), and financial crime prevention. Arthur blends deep technical acumen with interpersonal and leadership strengths, and is passionate about promoting financial integrity, countering illicit finance, and mentoring the next generation of investigative professionals.

Julius Orayo is dynamic and visionary technology leader with over 20 years of experience driving digital transformation, enterprise IT strategy, data & AI innovation, and cybersecurity governance across multi-country operations in regulated industries. Currently serving as Group CIO at Jubilee Holdings Ltd, overseeing IT strategy, digital innovation, and operations across seven entities in East Africa. Proven track record in delivering large-scale transformation programs, establishing Centres of Excellence, aligning technology investments with measurable business value, and advice boards on digital, cyber and data strategy.

Neeraj Anand is an award-winning digital banking executive and visionary CIO with over 27 years of transformative leadership across Africa’s financial and technology landscape. He currently serves as Head of IT Governance at SBM Bank Kenya and has previously led IT Applications & Operations, driving core banking modernization, cloud adoption, and AI-driven risk and governance frameworks. CPA Moses Kariuki is a distinguished strategic leader in the African financial sector, currently serving as the Head of Risk and Compliance at Kingdom Bank. With nearly two decades of expertise, Moses is a recognized authority in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), AML/CFT/CPF compliance, and corporate governance.

His visionary leadership earned his team the 2025 Banking Sector Risk Management Trailblazers of the Year award from ISACA Kenya. A highly credentialed professional, Moses holds an MBA and multiple international certifications, including CAMS, CFE, CISA, and ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager.

Beyond his executive role, he serves as the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Kingdom Bank staff pensions scheme and is the former Treasurer of the ISACA Kenya Chapter. Dr. Peter Onyango is a finance executive, entrepreneur, and digital-assets thought leader based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is the Chair of the Virtual Assets Association of Kenya (VAAK), where he plays a leading role in shaping Kenya’s emerging virtual-asset regulatory and institutional landscape. He was previously the CEO of an Investment Bank and a derivatives specialist at the Capital Markets Authority.

With over 17 years of experience spanning capital markets, banking, derivatives, and alternative investments, Dr. Onyango has held senior leadership and regulatory roles and is widely recognized for his expertise in financial innovation, market structure, and digital-asset strategy across Africa. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Finance and is a frequent speaker, columnist, and media commentator on capital markets and digital finance.

Daisy Namayi Kariu is a seasoned Financial Crime, Compliance, and Conduct Risk Leader with over 20 years of experience across Tier 1 regional and international banks. She is a Certified Anti money Laundering Specialist and currently serves as the Group Head of Internal Controls and Compliance Training at Equity Group, where she leads group-wide risk management strategies and oversees the compliance awareness of more than 6,000 employees.

Throughout her distinguished career, Daisy has held senior leadership roles at KCB Bank Group, DIB Bank Kenya, Barclays Bank of Kenya, and Commercial Bank of Africa. A pioneer in financial crime prevention, she has successfully established AML/CFT/CPF compliance programs and spearheaded the implementation of market-first monitoring systems, including Nice-Actimize and BAE Solutions.

Daisy is a recognized thought leader advising on AML/CFT/CPF obligations and financial crime. Her expertise spans regulatory liaison, enterprise risk management, and data protection. An active member of the Kenya Banker’s Association, official of the Compliance Society of Kenya, a member of the International Compliance Association, and the Global Compliance Institute.

Mercy Mulei, the Vice President of Women in Fintech & previously the Head of Risk & Compliance at M-PESA Africa, with over 14 years of experience across compliance, audit, and risk management. She brings a wealth of expertise in regulatory compliance, product risk assurance, privacy, and ethics management. Having worked with leading firms like PwC, EY, Safaricom, and now M-PESA Africa, she has been instrumental in shaping robust compliance frameworks and leading transformative initiatives, including the GSMA Mobile Money Certification for Safaricom. A respected voice in the industry, she is known for her analytical precision, stakeholder engagement, and passion for driving compliance excellence in the fintech space.

Dr Aprielle is a cybersecurity leader with over 15 years of experience in various IT and especially Cybersecurity capacities. Her quintessential objective is to be part of the instrumentality through which some of the globe’s information security challenges are tackled. Her journey in Cybersecurity has been marked by multifaceted roles—entrepreneurship, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Data Protection Officer (DPO), Cybersecurity and risk trainer and consultant—serving clientele across Africa and beyond. Dr Aprielle is a director and founder at Infosphere Limited – A cybersecurity consulting firm in Kenya. Dr Aprielle also serves as the President of Women in Cyber security East Africa Affiliate.

Dr Aprielle holds a Doctorate degree in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University (USA) and an MSc in Internet, Computer and System Security from the University of Bradford (UK) as well as various industry certifications. Her exceptional contributions to the field have been recognized through prestigious Cybersecurity Awards including the Young CISO network as one of the top cybersecurity professionals in Africa and Top 100 Cybersecurity Women to Watch Africa (T1CWWA). As a Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellow, Dr Aprielle stands at the forefront of cybersecurity advocacy and leadership, driving meaningful change and progress across the continent.

Gloria Nyamosi is a seasoned ICT Risk professional with a robust background in Information security, Cybersecurity and Data privacy practices. An enthusiast in championing cyber hygiene, training, governance and managing technological risks in the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity. She has extensive experience in ICT risk management, forensics audit, IT controls, and technology advisory. She currently serves as a Manager of ICT Risk at Kingdom Bank Ltd, following prior roles as a Risk & Forensics Audit Associate and Accounts & IT Assistant. Her career foundation was built at KPMG East Africa, where she began as an IT Advisory Intern within the Risk Consulting division. Gloria holds a Bachelor of Business Information Technology (Second-Class Upper)
from MMU.

Her professional expertise is strengthened by specialized training in ISO 31000 Lead Risk Management, Data Protection, Information Security Analysis, ISO 27001 Lead Implementation, and Digital Customer Service. Gloria is a member of ISACA and ACFE and contributes to the ISACA Education Committee while serving as an ISO 27001 Champion at her workplace. Passionate about mentorship, she has volunteered with H4IT Cybersecurity Community, Women in Cybersecurity, Cybershujaa, and the Cybershujaa Alumni Committee, supporting emerging ICT and cybersecurity talent.
